- Hi. I hope somebody out there has some expertise on the Amiga's disk
- drive. I have an Amiga 2000HD and my disk drive (3 1/2") has been giving me
- problems lately. I've had my computer for quite a few years, so I suppose its
- breakdown isn't completely unwarrented. Anyway, the problems started with the
- drive thinking that I had removed the disk when I actually had not and now it
- has gotten to the point where it's making a grating noise and the light stays
- on when a disk is inserted. Is there anyway to sidestep the complete
- replacement solution? I'd really like to hear a software solution; but I
- might be thinking unrealistically.
-
- Also, I've been storing my A2000 on its side to conserve space on my desk
- as of late. Would this be contributing to my problems? Thanks in advance...
-
- P.S. e-mail would be preferable
